Category 1 Clean Water - Doesn’t pose substantial risk to humans

Category 2 Gray Water – contains some degree of contamination

  • Minutes: Furniture stains, paper goods swell

  • Hours: Furniture will delaminate and swell, legs begin to split, sour musty odor

  • Days: Mildew appears with musty odor, wood trim swells, wood floors buckle, metal begins to rust, electronics corrode and begin to malfunction
